Biography
Majed is a highly esteemed and internationally renowned Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital, London, where he has been the Lead Clinician for Andrology, Male Infertility and Genito-Urethral Reconstruction since 2013, one of the largest tertiary referral practices for Andrology (Men’s Health Services) in the UK.
He is the Network Lead for Andrology for the entire Southeast London Region (2022-) and is the Past National Chair of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) Section of Andrology & Genito-urethral Reconstruction (2020-2022). He is now also the Lead for Urology at Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital (2023-), one of the top 20 urological centres in the World (Newsweek 2023).
Since his appointment in 2012, Majed set up the Male Infertility Service at Guy’s Hospital including the microTESE (microsurgical sperm retrieval) program, which has become the largest microTESE service South of the Thames, covering Kent, Surrey, Sussex and beyond. His audited outcomes exceed international benchmarks. He has also developed one of the world’s largest rapid access, tertiary referral Onco-microTESE services for fertility preservation in testis cancer patients at Guy’s.
He has co-developed a streamlined service focussed on Prostate Cancer Aftercare, helping patients with prostate cancer optimise their functional recovery after treatment, with his colleague Arun Sahai. Their novel approach and service has been presented and published nationally and internationally.
He has set up services for sickle cell priapism and urethral reconstruction and is the Lead for the Supra-regional South London Penile Prosthesis Network Service at Guy’s (2022-).
